Norman's Bio

Norman Andre Williams III was born in and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  He discovered the drums at the age of one and was playing professionally by the age of seven. Over the last two decades, he has shared the stage with Rodney Bryant, Bobby Jones, Robert Ray and a numerous of other national recording artists. Norman has also performed live on television. Coming from a musical family including his own father Norman Andre Williams Jr., he developed the desire to learn music in various genres and instruments. Normans' s inspirations are Earth, Wind and Fire, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Bill Evans, Return to Forever, Stevie Wonder, and many others.

As a young child Norman learned by ear, and was able to perform across the United States, but his formal training didn't occur until he attended Central Visual Performing Arts High School. After graduation he decided to pursue a career in instrumental music studies. In 2007, He received his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Percussion Music.  Norman currently plays percussion, piano, bass guitar and is working towards finishing a Master of Arts in Secondary Education with  a K-12  instrumental certification.  Norman is a father, husband, freelance musician, composer, arranger, computer/audio technician and a member of local groups Dre-Dre & Coast, Splen-dour, E.N. Hodge and the O.G.O's and Pieces of the Family.
