DANIEL A. REDEFFER, JR.
Daniel A. Redeffer, Jr. is an up and coming musician whose talents have expanded beyond the scope of conventional standards. Daniel is one who seeks to maintain balance artistically through the expression he conveys via his saxophone performances and compositions, and through the purveyance of energy via his arranging and record productions.
Daniel is a native of Saint Louis who spent the past 10 years in Chicago. Originally arriving in The Windy City to further his academic prowess as a budding saxophonist, Daniel discovered the rich cultural heritage and diversity to be explored by artists and immersed himself in the movement. Through this desire, Daniel has become a skilled technician of his instrument, who has shared the stage with such greats as Dwele, Rakim, Dwayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Tone, Jon Faddis, Steve Turre, Robin Eubanks, and Christian McBride, as well as notorious Chicago powerhouse musicians Orbert Davis, Ari Brown, and others.
Daniel’s unquenchable thirst to contribute to the evolving realm of urban American music has led him to venture into the worlds of international influence and record production. In 2009 Daniel formed RED-ALLEN PRODUCTION COMPANY, which was a haven for new independent talent to have a base for artistic expression, and to have that expression amplified and visible to the world. RED-ALLEN PRODUCTION COMPANY was a full service record production company that manufactured, developed and exposed cutting edge music from cutting edge artists. Among the RED-ALLEN roster was the 18 piece salsa collective ORQUESTA LA MISION, the 13 piece jazz fusion band 1580, and notable Chicago based trumpeter LEON Q. Daniel not only produced the talent under RED-ALLEN, but performed and recorded with them as well.
The artistic contributions of Daniel A. Redeffer, Jr. are socially pertinent and artistically exceeding the levels set by the international contingent. His works are embraced by many around the world and will be celebrated for generations to come.
